U.S.A.: American Salvage Company, $1 shares, 19[16], #84, lovely vignette of the Sisson Diving machine attempting to raise a passenger liner, green. Incorporated in New Jersey in 1916 with its main office in Patterson, to operate an electrically operated diving bell capable of automatically attaching pontoons to sunken vessels. Each pontoon is capable of raising 300 tons of dead weight after the water is pumped out. The company was hoping to raise the Lusitania in 1922 but nothing came of it and little was heard of the company in later years. We cannot find any confirmation that the Sisson Diving machine actually raised anything. VF.
