** U.S.A.: President Hotel Company, 25-Year Income Gold Bond for $500, 1930, #D398, hotel at top, brown, with coupons. Incorporated in 1929 in New Jersey to acquire the hotel on Albany Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City which was opened in 1926 as a hotel and apartments. The new company was to convert the building all hotel use. During 1942-46 it was requisitioned by the military and by the 1960's was in serious decline and converted to apartments. Demolished in 1979 to make way for a casino which never came to fruition and the plot remains vacant. VF.
