Great Britain: Herne Bay Pier Company, one share, 2nd issue, 184[2], #1107, black, on vellum, blue seal. Incorporated by Act of Parliament 1831 to build a pier to land passengers at Herne Bay, Kent. The pier, designed by Thomas Telford, opened in 1832 to a length of 3613 feet. Demolished in 1870 and replaced by a shorter pier. Vellum a little crinkled otherwise VF and scarce.
