U.S.A.: Boston and New York Chickasaw Land Company, $500 shares, [1836], #13, native American sitting at left, black, cancelled. Formed in 1836 to speculate on Chickasaw Indian land in northern Mississippi following a treaty with the U.S. Government. The Government started selling this land in 1836 and several companies such as this sprung up to buy larger lots and divide them up. A couple of edge nicks but VF and scarce.
