** U.S.A.: Rittersville Hotel Company, a pair of $50 shares, 189[5], #21 and one unissued #54, brown. Incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1892 to acquire the hotel which had been in operation since the 1850’s. The name of the Hotel was changed to the Manhattan Hotel when it was acquired by the Allentown and Bethlehem Rapid Transit Company. Burnt down in 1897 and subsequently rebuilt. GVF and EF (2).
