U.S.A.: American Fisheries Company, 10 shares Common stock, 189[9], LC6782, attractive piece with fishing boat at top and Menhaden (Herring) at bottom, steel blue. Formed by 1898 to acquire and consolidate 17 menhaden fishery companies operating on the East coast and Texas. Later built a large plant in Washington State. Reorganised in 1900 after loss making operations and then bankrupt by 1907 after a disastrous fire at one of the plants. AEF
